Equipment failure cut short Jerrod's first attempt to run on the pavement in the USAC Mid-South 100. Jerrod was running well in practice and was gaining experience and running very good lap speed when the oil pump belt on the engine of the Bob Wallace #97 Stealth Chassis Champ car came off, hurting the engine and making it impossible for Jerrod to continue. Look for Jerrod to be back in this series again.
