May 23, 2005

Jerrod Hull Motorsports continued their 2005 trek through the Midwest this week as they made weekly stops at Jacksonville, Illinois and St. Francois Speedway in Farmington, Missouri this week. With a heavy track, which made passing a gift, Jerrod started 7th and finished 4th as the car came to life a bit towards the end of the event. Saturday’s events at St. Francois Speedway completed Jerrod’s weekend with a heat race win and another top 5 finish. After drawing 8th in the dash, Jerrod moved up nicely to the 6th spot, which placed him outside of row 3 for the feature event. Jerrod drove his D&T Carpet, Webb Motorsports, Hampton & Webb Architects, and Simpson, Avenger fitted with Hoosier Racing Tires from 6th to the runner-up spot on the evening.

Jerrod gave credit to his team, which included Scott Bonar of Midland Performance for their fantastic finish. “We ran a hard race at the end with this new Avenger chassis, but we will take this second and work towards next week. It’s always great to work with Scott Bonar; he is one of the best at what he does. Working with Scott is nothing new for us, as he has been my crew-chief before on many occasions.” Jerrod and the Hull Motorsports team are looking forward to their weekly ventures to Jacksonville and St. Francois again this weekend and will be adding an additional race at New Florence, Missouri for a first ever sprint car show. “We are really looking forward to the New Florence show. It will be the first time they have ever run sprints, it’s always great to be a part of history.”

Jerrod is no stranger to competing in first-time events; most recently, he was one of the contenders at the Inaugural Sprint Bandits race in 2004. Keep watching Hoseheads.com for some exciting news from Jerrod Hull Motorsports this week.
