Jerrod Hull Motorsports
June 21, 2005
It was four out of four in top-10 runs for Jerrod hull Motorsports this past week. With a grueling 3-state weekend and a mid-week race at Pevely, MO, the team hit the ground running.
First it was off to I-55 Raceway at Pevely on June 15, where Jerrod powered the D&T Carpet, Inc., Webb Motorsports, Hampton & Webb Architect, Simpson, Hoosier, Weld, Avenger from a starting spot of 9th in his heat to finish a strong 2nd and place him on the pole for the feature due to passing points. The car was fast out of the gate as Jerrod lead the first 13 circuits, however with the track taking a bit too much rubber early on, Hull relegated his lead and finished a firm 2nd.
Friday night's events at Jacksonville reminded the crowd that Jerrod Hull still knows his way around the place. After spinning while passing for 2nd, Jerrod tagged the field and still hustled the Avenger back to a solid top-10 finish.
Saturday's race at St. Fancois Raceway in Farmington, MO was defined by one word: FAST! Beginning 15th in the feature, Jerrod surged forward to finish 8th.
Then it was a little MASS action at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN. With a finish in 7th spot in the heat race, Jerrod transferred out of the B by taking the checkers. Starting 17th in a stout field of cars, Jerrod dropped the loud pedal to garner 9 spots and finish 8th.
“Man, what a long, tough weekend. It started out great running second to [Randy] Hannagan, went downhill a bit from there, but I think we got some things worked out and we’ll get it going this coming weekend and see what’s up.” Jerrod is scheduled to hit the twin-feature nights at Jacksonville Raceway in Jacksonville, IL on Friday, and still looking at offers to close out the weekend. “I’m not sure where we are heading on Saturday, I’d like to put our new 360 in the Avenger and run somewhere, but we will just weigh our options and see where we run.”
